Welcome to Anxiety Armory
I’m glad you’ve found your way here!
If you are interested in therapy, training or consultation please don’t hesitate to contact me. I am a Cognitive Behavioral therapist located in central New Jersey who utilizes Exposure/Response Prevention, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness techniques. I completed the Intensive Training in Exposure and Response Prevention for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder at Penn Medicine’s Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety Disorders. I receive weekly clinical supervision through the experts at Penn to further enhance my skills in treating OCD, Panic and other anxiety disorders. My goal in the context of therapy is to empower you to become your own therapist so that coming to therapy ultimately becomes something you do because you WANT to and not because you feel that you HAVE to. Throughout our work together, I will encourage you to tackle challenging tasks, all while fostering an environment where shared laughter is not only welcomed but encouraged. The God’s honest truth is that there was a time when I was not very skilled at treating anxiety disorders. I mostly thought that anxiety treatment was extremely simple: help patients find coping skills that push away anxious feelings and teach them to challenge anxious thoughts. Easy.
So when I began struggling with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Panic, I thought I knew exactly how to manage it. I tried every skill I could possibly think of to get rid of my anxious thoughts and feelings (that’s literally a picture of me “cold plunging” in a 30 degree lake). The problem was, the more I used coping skills or challenged my thinking, the more my anxiety seemed to grow. Thankfully, I learned that there are effective, evidence-based treatments such as Exposure/Response Prevention and other Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies that really do work to reduce anxiety symptoms and ultimately give you your life back. My own recovery journey has made me extremely passionate about helping others struggling with anxiety disorders.

I sincerely hope that something on this website will be helpful to you, your loved ones or your clients in their anxiety recovery!
